South Ombudsman Program

April 16th & 17th Ombudsman Representatives from the South LTCO Program (SOWEGA COA) attended the ACT training in Perry. Along with LTCO the training was attended by Police Officers, Sherriff’s Deputies, GBI, Banking Officers, APS and PGO. With so many different agencies collaborating on case scenarios we all were able to look at how we can all work together to help those adults at risk.

Debbie Rogers and Cat Young presented a “Thank You” Cake to the FSIU for the work the Unit does to educate Law Enforcement and Mandated Reporter in identifying, reporting and investigating crimes against At Risk Adults. As well as the work and coordination with other agencies in the fight against Unlicensed Personal Care Homes and Human Trafficking for Benefits. Thank you to the DAS-Forensic Special Initiatives Unit for teaching us “Protect, Prevent and Prosecute”.
